Anaeli M. Rodriguez is a bilingual licensed School Psychologist in the State of Florida.
After having completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of Florida, Anaeli decided to focus on working with children and pursued a graduate degree in School Psychology, with a specialization in Early Childhood Development, at the University of Florida. After earning her Master’s degree in 2003, Anaeli moved back to Miami to complete her internship at the Institute for Child and Family Health (formerly the Children’s Psychiatric Center). During her time at CPC, Anaeli worked as a play therapist for children ages 5-21. She also completed clinical rotations at the Neurodevelopmental Clinic of Miami Children’s Hospital, the Linda Ray Intervention Center, the Juvenile Justice Center, and conducting group play therapy for pre-school aged children.
Anaeli began working as a school Psychologist with Miami-Dade County Public Schools in the fall of 2004. Anaeli has enjoyed serving the children and families of MDCPS over many different capacities during her 10+ years as a School Psychologist. Anaeli has served both as a region-based and district school psychologist, completing not only traditional school psychology responsibilities such as evaluating children and consulting with teachers, but she also has worked in more non-traditional roles such as conducting research for the division of Psychological Services, creating and delivering professional development trainings for teachers and other School Psychologists, and managing the professional development records of over 250 School Psychologists. As an MDCPS school psychologist Anaeli has also been afforded the opportunity to work with specialized populations. She worked as a school-based therapeutic clinician for middle school children with Emotional and Behavioral Disorders for four years. Currently, she specializes as a Prekindergarten School Psychologist conducting evaluations of children ages 3-5 who present with Autism Spectrum Disorders.
Personally, Anaeli has been a proud mother for over 12 years and participates in several organizations together with her daughter. Professionally, Anaeli has been a member of the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP), the Florida Association of School Psychologists (FASP), and the Dade Association of School Psychologists (DASP). She served on the board of DASP, as treasurer, for four years. Anaeli is fluent in both English and Spanish.
