Other Services

The psychologists at Next Level Psychological Consulting specialize in educational, developmental, and psychological testing of children and adolescents ranging from ages 2-21.  Psycho-educational services consist mainly of testing for the purposes of assisting children and adolescents in performing and achieving their best at school and life.  In addition to testing school-aged children for special gifts and talents, learning disabilities, and possible attention disorders, the psychologists at Next Level Psychological Consulting also assist children at the beginning (pre-school) and end (college) of their academic careers.

Developmental Disorders of Early Childhood

Several psychological disorders are evident in very young children.  Evaluations of toddlers with developmental disorders are crucial to getting these children early intervention educational services and therapies.  By having their children evaluated at a young age, parents and families can propel their children’s development.  Comprehensive evaluations for young children should include measures of intelligence, academic readiness, and any behaviors that are concerning to parents.  At Next Level Psychological Consulting, we specialize in evaluations of young children with the following developmental disorders:

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD): Disorders characterized by difficulties in social interaction, verbal and nonverbal communication and repetitive behaviors.
  • Intellectual Disabilities (IND): Disabilities characterized by significant limitations in both intellectual functioning and in adaptive behavior (daily living skills).
  • Developmental Delays (DD): Significant delays in one or more of the five areas of human development (Adaptive skills, social skills, communication skills, motor skills, and cognitive skills).  In the state of Florida this disorder is reserved for children ages 3-6.

College Disability Assistance

Most colleges and universities offer students with disabilities educational accommodations and services through their offices of disability services.  However, it is the responsibility of the student to obtain and supply the college with all necessary disability information.  Psycho-educational testing usually is a requirement for the college student with a disability to receive the needed accommodations and services to perform best at school.  At Next Level Psychological Consulting, licensed psychologists will work with college-aged students to document academic abilities and needs, perceptual processing disorders, and medical disabilities that may require educational services.
